There are four types of fencing mesh using often in farm, chain link fencing, aluminium expanded mesh, welded wire mesh and Six side mesh.

Their lifespan in African farms such as Nigerian chicken farm:
Chain link fencing, rusting in one and a half year, in 4 years replace, middle cost
Aluminium expanded mesh, rusting after 5 years, in 10 years replace, high cost
Welded wire mesh, rusting in 1 and a half year, in 3 years replace, low cost
Six side mesh, rusting in a half year, in 2 years replace, lower cost
Above all Aluminium expanded mesh is the best choice, but there are galvanized expanded mesh in local market, it looks like aluminium, when you buy please make it clearer with shopper. 

1. Chain link fencing

Type 2
Opening: 1”

2. Aluminium expanded mesh



Size: 1m by 10m
Opening: 7mm by 12mm
Processing: aluminium sheet is punched

3. Welded wire mesh


Size: 1m by 30m
Opening: 1.5cm, 2cm, 2.5cm, 3cm
Wire diameter: 1.5mm, 1.8mm, 2.3mm
Processing: two hot deep galvanized wires are welded together

4. Six side mesh



Size: 1m by 30m, 1.5m by 30m, 3m by 30m
Opening: 1.5cm*1.2inch, 2cm*3/4inch, 1.8cm*5/8inch, 2.5cm*1 inch 
Wire diameter: 0.8-1.5mm
Processing: two hot deep galvanized wires are crossing weaved to six side
