Layer battery cage is for 10,000 - 50,000+ layers a house, at 12+ weeks old egg laying chicken starting laying. It is lifespan is 25+ years.
Layer battery cage is with "A" frame, also named A type automatic layer battery cage.
The lifespan of battery cage made by VANKE are 5 years higher than market.

Components And Working Principle Of Layer Battery Cage
1. Cage mesh and frame
Heavy galvanized material
- Components: Bottom mesh Φ2.3–2.7mm, vertical/separating mesh Φ2.0–2.5mm, main frame Φ4.0mm, galvanized channel steel/angle steel columns, reinforcing ribs, anti-corrosion coating, installation connectors (bolts, clips, hooks, brackets).
- Working principle: A-type structure is stable and space-saving, the bottom mesh is tilted 5°–7°, and eggs naturally roll into the egg trough.
2. Automatic drinking system
Water starting line and drinking line
- Components: Pvc main and branch pipes, stainless steel nipple drinkers, anti-drip devices, water pressure regulator, end flushing valve, water tank or filter system, installation connectors.
- Working principle: The system supplies water automatically with stable pressure, and chickens drink by pecking easily.
3. Automatic feeding system

Type 2 chain feeding system and type 3 hopper feeding system
- Components: Spiral or chain type feeder, transverse feed trough, hopper, driving motor, anti-waste baffle, automatic control panel, feed silo (with automatic discharging device), installation connectors.
- Working principle: Feed is stored in the silo, discharged into the feeder through the discharging device, and automatically delivered to the trough.
4. Automatic egg collecting system

- Components: Egg conveyor belt, driving motor, buffering device, central conveyor line, egg storage trolley, installation connectors.
- Working principle: Eggs roll onto the conveyor belt by slope, automatically delivered to the collection point, with a buffer device to reduce breakage.
5. Automatic manure cleaning system
- Components: Longitudinal manure belt, transverse conveyor belt, scraper (manure gutter type), motor with chain/steel wire rope, manure transfer cart, timing controller, installation connectors.
- Working principle:
Belt and device outside poultry house
(1) Belt type: Manure falls onto the belt and is driven by the motor to be transported regularly to the outside collection point.

(2) Scraper type: Manure falls into the gutter and is moved by scraper chains back and forth to the designated position.

6. Environmental control and auxiliary accessories (selective assembly)
Pads, fans and fresh windows
- Components: Fans, cooling pads, automatic curtains, led lighting, temperature and humidity sensors, automatic ventilation control system, anti-escape barrier, rodent-proof net, installation connectors.
- Working principle: Automatically adjusts temperature, humidity, and air quality in the house according to the chickens’ age.
7. Poultry house management (selective assembly)

- Components: Farm CCTV, AI data analysis report, control device, NH3 sensor, other sensors and so on.
- Working principle: One-stop management and control, from CCTV to giving order to every house, from date collection to AI data analysis report, abnormal condition detection and alarm system.
